Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Veridical Manufacturing (“we”, “us”) handles when you use the Veridical app for iPhone and Android, and when you visit veridicalmanufacturing.com. We collect as little as we can, we never sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

The Veridical app

The app connects over Bluetooth to Veridical products (the Scout and the Power Jack) so you can run and control tests from your phone.

• No personal data is collected. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it doesn't send information to us or to anyone else.
• Bluetooth is used only to find and talk to your Veridical device. Test commands and results stay between your phone and the device.
• Location permission (older Android only). On Android 11 and earlier, the operating system requires location permission for any app to scan for Bluetooth devices. The app asks for it only for that reason; it never reads, stores or shares your location. On Android 12 and later and on iPhone, no location permission is requested.
• The app remembers your selected product on your phone only. Deleting the app removes it.

The website

• Orders. Checkout is handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We receive the information needed to fulfil your order — your name, email address, shipping address and what you bought — and keep it for our records and for warranty and support. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
• Support requests. When you use the support form or email us, we receive your name, email address, an optional order/transaction ID and your message, and keep them so we can help you and follow up.
• Your cart is saved in your browser's local storage on your device so it's still there when you come back. It isn't sent to us until you check out.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited time and aren't used to identify you.
• Embedded video. Our home page includes a YouTube video. If you play it, YouTube may collect information under Google's privacy policy.
• We don't use advertising or analytics trackers on the website.

Who we share information with

Only the service providers that run these services for us — Stripe (payments) and Amazon Web Services (website hosting and email) — and only as needed to provide them, or when required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@veridicalmanufacturing.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Some order records may need to be kept for tax and accounting purposes.

Children

Our products, app and website are intended for adults and businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update it here and change the effective date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
